Moulin à vent

This red wine is made from the Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc grape variety. The vineyard lies at an altitude of 220 meters on granite soil. It is overlooked by a windmill built in 1550 — a listed historic monument — which stands at the heart of the vineyard on the hill of Romanèche-Thorins. The mill gives its name to this highly renowned Cru of Beaujolais, one of the first to be officially delimited in 1924.

The wine displays a deep ruby color, with aromas of flowers (iris, rose) and ripe fruit. It will develop beautifully with a few years of cellaring, but can also be enjoyed young.

It pairs perfectly with a classic Boeuf Bourguignon, game birds, or lamb. Serve at 15°C (59°F).

Vins conditionnés par carton de 6 bouteilles et 3 pour les magnum.
