Fleurie is often described as the most feminine of the Beaujolais Crus.

The sandy granite soils are well-drained and low in nutrients, producing wines of finesse and elegance.

Light, fruity, and indulgent, Fleurie reveals aromas of red fruits.

It can age a little — up to about 10 years — but is best enjoyed after 3 to 4 years, when it shows its full charm.

It pairs beautifully with white meats, particularly veal, as well as quail or black pudding.

Serve ideally at 15°C (59°F), though it can also be enjoyed slightly cooler.
